SUMMARY:A Listening Session for Teens
DESCRIPTION:“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate;\nonly love can do that.”\n-Martin Luther King\, Jr.\nPart of the Living the Dream MLK Day of Service Celebration: HopeWorks’ Youth Leadership Project Presents a Teen Listening Session \nAs HopeWorks continues to grow and center our work around creating a world free from violence\, we\nunderstand that society’s racist structures have impacted our relationships with each other and the\nworld. It is important to talk about the ways we engage with each other in terms of peace and\nintersectionality; and constantly be open to learn. This coming MLK day\, HopeWorks’ Youth Leaders strive\nto engage and continue these important conversations of non-violence\, peace\, and social justice that\nMartin Luther King\, Jr. advocated for. \nYoung people ages 13 to 18 are invited to join HopeWorks’ Youth Leaders as teens\nengage in conversation around non-violence\, peace\, and social justice. Conversation will\ninvolve how these topics may or may not show up in teens’ daily lives and how today’s\nrealities impact their visibility. We hope to learn and share with each other in a way that\ncan provide the most relief. \nClick Here to Register!
