SUMMARY:"I Can\, I Will": A Teen Listening Session
DESCRIPTION:HopeWorks’ Youth Leadership Project wants to hear from YOU! \nWhat values are most important to you? How can we act within the legacy of Martin Luther King\, Jr. to create the world we want to live in? Where do peace and transformation intersect? \nThis coming MLK day\, HopeWorks’ Youth Leaders\, in partnership with the Howard County Martin Luther King\, Jr. Holiday Commission\, strive to engage and continue these important conversations of non-violence\, peace\, and social justice that Martin Luther King\, Jr. advocated for. \nYoung people ages 13 to 18 are invited to join HopeWorks’ Youth Leaders as teens engage in conversation around non-violence\, peace\, and social justice. Conversation will involve how these topics may or may not show up in teens’ daily lives and how today’s realities impact their visibility. We hope to learn and share with each other in a way that can provide the most relief. \nThis listening session asks all who are present to be ready to engage verbally. The more conversation the better. The point is hearing what teenagers\, ages 13-18\, think and feel. Your voice is important! \nQuestions? Please contact Victoria Rain\, Community Educator\, at vrain@hopeworksofhc.org. \nClick Here to Register!
