DESCRIPTION:  \nHealth Advisory Board\nAddressing the long-term health effects of sexual and intimate partner violence \nResearch has shown that physical\, sexual\, and psychological violence can have lasting effects on an individual’s health\, including increased risk for chronic pain\, cardiovascular disease\, diabetes\, anxiety\, depression\, and gastrointestinal disorders. \nHopeWorks’ Health Advisory Board brings together survivors\, healthcare professionals\, care providers\, and community partners to address the long-term health impacts of sexual and intimate partner violence.
