These social ties related to belonging and connection are shown to be protective factors against stress\, sadness\, behavioral/emotional strains\, and show to support resiliency and the ability to cope. \nSocial isolation and loneliness are growing problems in today’s society. About 60% of people describe being lonely and feeling as if they lack connection.
