Women’s Voices: Global, Using the Arts & Humanities to Explore Oppression & Revolution

Women’s Voices: Global, Using the Arts & Humanities to Explore Oppression & Revolution, presented by HopeWorks of Howard County, is an 11-session workshop series that will explore issues faced by women across the globe. Session topics will include:

Gendered Violence; Societal Norms, Values, and Culture; Women’s Lives Before Patriarchy; Reproductive Health, incl. FGM & Period Poverty; Climate & the Environment; Religion; Child Marriage, and other issues affecting women’s lives.

We will explore how women are using their voices through the arts, and we’ll create works of art to reflect on our experiences.

This will be a closed group and attendees will be expected to attend all sessions.
