HopeWorks’ Volunteer Orientation

At HopeWorks, our volunteer program is about more than filling roles — it’s about building capacity. We believe in strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, and leadership of our volunteers so that individuals, organizations, and communities can thrive. Our volunteers are essential partners in our mission to support survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence and to create lasting change in our community.
This orientation session is designed for new volunteers who have already completed the volunteer application process, including a standard background check, and who have also attended the Step 1 Training: Exploring the Dynamics of Gender-Based Violence.
During volunteer orientation session, you’ll learn about HopeWorks’ history, mission, and values; the expectations and boundaries for HopeWorks volunteers, and the necessart skills required to volunteer at events, fundraisers, and more!
