What values are most important to you? How can we act within the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. to create the world we want to live in? Where do peace and transformation intersect?
This coming MLK day, HopeWorks’ Youth Leaders in partnership with the MLK Day of Service Commission, strive to engage and continue these important conversations of non-violence, peace, and social justice that Martin Luther King, Jr. advocated for. In the time of COVID-19 and so much changing for teens, it’s important to take the time to listen to teenagers and hear what’s important to them and how they honor, or want to honor, Martin Luther King, Jr’s legacy.
This listening session asks all who are present to be ready to engage in verbal or written engagement (through the chat). The more conversation the better. The point is hearing what teenagers, ages 12-18, think and feel. Your voice is important!
