HopeWorks’ Emergency Pantry accepts in-kind donations to help our clients meet their needs!

Highly Needed Items:

  • Dry pasta
  • Rice (smaller bags, individual servings)
  • Ramen/microwavable meals
  • Oatmeal
  • Canned meats
  • Canned soups
  • Tide pods
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels

Additional Needed Items:

  • Dry cereal (low sugar for adults and children)
  • Snacks
  • Juice and juice boxes
  • Dried breakfast items (ex. breakfast bars)
  • Milk (Powdered, Shelf-stable Dairy and Non-Dairy (e.g., Parmalat)
  • Canned fruits
  • Canned beans
  • Healthy cooking oil (Olive, Grapeseed)
  • Snacks for lunch boxes
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Moisturizer (for face)
  • Shampoo and conditioner for Black/textured hair
  • NEW Bras and underwear (all sizes)
  • NEW Bed linens (Twin XL ONLY)
  • NEW Silverware or Kitchenware (ex. pots and pans)
  • Trash bags
  • Visa Gift Cards
  • Gas Gift Cards
  • Grocery Gift Cards (for perishable foods)
  • Uber/Lyft Gift Cards
  • DVDs/Kids movies
  • Kids toys (ex. building blocks, toy balls (soccer balls, footballs, nerf balls)
  • Crayola Color Magic Paper & Markers
  • Sidewalk chalk and regular chalk

Donated items can be dropped off at our Main Office Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

We will gladly accept donations, but there are restrictions around what we can accept!

All items must be:

  • New, unopened
  • Not expired or used
  • Personal care items must be full size, not travel size

We CANNOT Accept:

  • Perishable items requiring refrigeration, such as fresh produce and meats.
  • Expired items, or items expiring within the next two (2) months.
  • Cans with dents, rust, or missing labels.
  • Jumbo size canned items meant for large groups. Food is distributed to individual families, so these items may go to waste! 
  • Loose, bulk items, open items, or homemade food items.
  • Clothing items (with the exception of those listed). Please refer to Ruth’s Closet (Owings Mills, MD; appointment only) or Success In Style/Charity’s Closet (Savage, MD) for clothing donations of pre-owned items.
  • Please DO NOT DONATE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: body lotion, macaroni and cheese, menstrual pads & tampons, mouthwash, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. WE CURRENTLY HAVE A SURPLUS OF THESE ITEMS. Thank you for your understanding!
