Volunteer Orientation

At HopeWorks, our volunteer program is about more than filling roles — it’s about building capacity. We believe in strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, and leadership of our volunteers so that individuals, organizations, and communities can thrive. Our volunteers are essential partners in our mission to support survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence and to create lasting change in our community.
During this interactive orientation session, you’ll learn about HopeWorks’ history, mission, and values; the variety of volunteer opportunities available; and the basic skills required to volunteer at events, fundraisers, and more.
Please note that new volunteers should also plan to attend our DVAM Step 1 Training: Understanding and Preventing Gendered Violence, in addition to attending the volunteer orientation.
